Description

Schlenk line with 4 two-way PTFE valves is a modular glass manifold for vacuum and inert-gas manipulation of sensitive compounds. Made from borosilicate glass 3.3, it is equipped with four two-way PTFE valves rated for vacuum 0–10 mm and nitrogen 0–6 mm. Detachable working ports (KF DN 16) comprise two olives of Ø 13 mm, one core NS 14,5/23 and one core NS 29/32. The double cold-trap connection uses KF DN 25, while the nitrogen inlet employs a KF DN 16 transition to a Ø 12 mm olive. N2 and vacuum ports are interchangeable left or right, each opposite a blank cap. Approximate dimensions are 25 cm height and 50 cm length; flange hardware is supplied. This Schlenk line from manufacturer Rettberg offers flexible port selection for multi-vessel setups, solvent drying and air-free transfers. The combination of PTFE valves and high-quality glass ensures reliable sealing and chemical durability for demanding synthetic and organometallic applications.

Questions about Schlenkline, with 4 PTFE valves

What is this article?

Schlenkline, with 4 PTFE valves is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Rettberg for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
