Description

SenTix® HW-T 900-P is an IDS precision pH electrode with a ground-joint diaphragm, developed for reliable measurements in low-ionic-strength media. The 165 mm electrode body incorporates a built-in temperature sensor, enabling simultaneous pH and temperature acquisition. QSC capability, storage of up to ten calibrations and a stored serial number support documented, reproducible laboratory workflows. The plug head connects to an AS IDS/1.5 cable or a wireless module, so the sensor can be used with compatible digital IDS instruments without a permanently attached cable. Offered as one piece from manufacturer WTW – a Xylem brand, this electrode is suited to pure water, weakly buffered solutions and other ion-poor samples where conventional diaphragms may perform poorly. Net weight is approximately 0,3015 kg. It is a practical choice for environmental, pharmaceutical and research laboratories that need stable pH readings in low-conductivity matrices.

Questions about SenTix® HW-T 900-P, Precision pH combination electrode with split ring junction

What is this article?

SenTix® HW-T 900-P, Precision pH combination electrode with split ring junction is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
