Description

The SG68-ELK SevenGo Duo pro pH/ION/DO is a professional two-channel meter kit for pH, ion concentration and dissolved oxygen, supplied ready for use with matching InLab® sensors. The instrument provides manual or automatic air-pressure compensation through an integrated barometer (500 to 1100 mbar), a high-performance oxygen measurement path, a backlit LCD, large data memory for detailed GLP protocols and an infrared interface for data transfer to a printer or PC, together with extensive parameter-specific functions. Dissolved oxygen ranges from 0,0 to 600 % or 0,00 to 99,00 mg/L (resolution 0,1 to 1 % or 0,01 mg/L; accuracy ±0,5 %), with DO temperature 0,0 to 60,0 °C. pH covers −2,000 to 19,999 at 0,1/0,01/0,001 resolution and ±0,01 relative accuracy; mV spans −1999,9 to 1999,9. Temperature modes include ATC −5,0 to 105,0 °C and MTC −30 to 130 °C. The kit from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine includes the meter, InLab®605-ISM oxygen probe (2 m), InLab Expert Pro-ISM pH electrode (2 m), buffer solutions, operating instructions, declaration of conformity, test certificate and four 1,5 V AA batteries. Net weight is 2,342 kg.

Questions about SevenGo Duo pH/Ion/DO meter SG68-EL-Kit

What is this article?

SevenGo Duo pH/Ion/DO meter SG68-EL-Kit is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
