SONOREX ES 4 insert strips for beakers are designed to hold insert vessels securely during ultrasonic cleaning and sample preparation. When chemically aggressive liquids (for example TICKOPUR J 80 U) are used, when aggressive or abrasive soils must be removed, or when sample liquids are sonicated, insert beakers provide indirect sonication and prevent contact with the tank bottom. Matching perforated lids accommodate the beakers, while the insert strip permits simultaneous sonication of several beakers filled with different media. This arrangement is useful, for instance, for removing dental cements with STAMMOPUR Z in one beaker and cleaning plus chemical disinfection of dental instruments with STAMMOPUR DR 8 in another. Effective ultrasound transmission requires reduction of water surface tension, so a coupling fluid such as TICKOPUR R 33 at 3 % should be employed.
