SONOREX K 08 immersion basket is a stainless-steel accessory designed to hold samples and other sonication material safely inside ultrasonic baths. Placing items directly on the tank floor during operation can cause abrasion between the load and the oscillating tank; this basket keeps the contents suspended in the optimal cavitation zone, approximately 1–2 cm above the bottom. Internal dimensions are 170 × 65 × 50 mm (L × W × D), providing a practical working volume for routine laboratory cleaning and sample preparation tasks. The open-mesh construction allows free circulation of the cleaning liquid while still supporting the load securely. After the ultrasonic cycle the entire basket can be lifted out for rinsing or transfer, so the operator does not need to reach into the bath liquid. Manufactured by Bandelin, the SONOREX K 08 is intended for use with matching SONOREX ultrasonic units and supports reproducible, gentle treatment of glassware, instruments and other laboratory items.
