Description

Temperature sensor MIL-TNF is a NiCr-Ni flat probe with glass-silk construction measuring 0,4 x 15 x 400 mm, intended for surface and interface temperature measurement. The sensor covers a temperature range up to 400 °C and is supplied without a plug, complete with a 1,5 m silicone connection cable. Designed for operation with heating mantles, it is suitable for temperature measurement between a glass flask and the heating element, where a thin flat profile can be placed in the contact zone without bulky intrusion. From manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the MIL-TNF unit is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,1 kg and a gross weight of 0,1 kg. The flexible flat geometry and silicone lead support straightforward positioning in laboratory heating setups. Temperature probes with other dimensions or alternative constructions are available on request, allowing the same sensor concept to be matched to different flask sizes and mantle arrangements in research and process work.

What is this article?

Temperatur sensor MIL-TNF without plug, NiCr-Ni flat sensor, 0,4 x 15 x 400 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
