Description

testo 420 volume flow hood enables precise determination of total volume flow at larger supply and extract air outlets, supporting compliance with indoor-air-quality requirements in hospitals, offices and commercial buildings. An integrated volume-flow straightener calms swirl at diffuser outlets and converts turbulent air into a nearly uniform stream, delivering accurate results in the range 40 to 4.000 m³/h. The hood measures 610 × 610 mm and, with ergonomic handles and a tiltable display, weighs less than 2,9 kg for comfortable overhead work. Tension rods allow rapid assembly; a trolley is included for safe transport. The detachable measuring instrument from manufacturer Testo indicates flow velocity, volume flow, absolute pressure, temperature and relative humidity, with automatic zeroing at low pressures. Via the free app, smartphones or tablets serve as a second display and remote control, support live start/stop measurement, store data and create customer-specific protocols on site for email dispatch. Removed from the hood, the instrument can also perform duct measurements with optional pitot tube and hoses. Pack size: 1 pc.

Questions about testo 420 - volume flow hood

What is this article?

testo 420 - volume flow hood is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Digital thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A digital thermometer is a display plus a sensor. The resolution on the screen can be finer than the accuracy. The stated accuracy and the calibration point are what the number is worth. The probe type has to be the one the meter expects.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
