The instrument measures from −30 °C to 400 °C at 0,1 °C resolution and delivers up to two readings per second. Two-point laser marking precisely outlines the target area between the laser points. Adjustable alarm thresholds provide optical and acoustic alerts, complemented by min/max display and a hold function. An external Type K thermocouple input allows optional contact probes for air, liquids, semi-solids or surfaces, useful both for verification and for determining surface emissivity. Emissivity is user-settable; emissivity tape or a contact probe is recommended for very low-emissivity materials.
