Description

testoterm Mini indicators for +171 °C to +193 °C are self-adhesive, temperature-sensitive films that respond with a clear colour change when defined temperature thresholds are exceeded. They are well suited to monitoring products and processes in which a specific temperature must not be surpassed, including moving or small objects and long-term surveillance tasks. Supplied in a booklet of 10 pieces, the mini indicators peel off like stickers and adhere directly to the measurement object. Marked temperature points are +171 °C, +177 °C, +182 °C, +188 °C and +193 °C. When a given point is exceeded, the corresponding spot changes colour within 2 to 3 seconds. The colour change is irreversible: once triggered, the indicator does not reverse even if the temperature later falls, so critical overruns remain readable after extended periods. These compact testoterm indicators from manufacturer Testo support reliable thermal-event documentation in laboratory, production and logistics settings. Net weight is 0,010 kg. Complementary ranges cover other temperature bands for broader monitoring needs.

This article is part of Digital thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

What is this article?

testoterm Mini indicators, +143 … +166, °C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Digital thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A digital thermometer is a display plus a sensor. The resolution on the screen can be finer than the accuracy. The stated accuracy and the calibration point are what the number is worth. The probe type has to be the one the meter expects.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
