Description

Three-necked round-bottom flask, DURAN® is a multi-neck laboratory vessel with a 4000 ml capacity, two side necks 29/32 and a centre neck 29/32. The round-bottom shape supports uniform heating and effective mixing when used with standard heating mantles, oil baths or similar equipment. Identical 29/32 ground joints on the centre and both side necks allow flexible arrangement of condensers, dropping funnels, stirrer assemblies, thermometers and other ground-joint accessories in one setup. This DURAN® flask from manufacturer Lenz is intended for organic synthesis, preparative chemistry, distillation and related multi-port work that requires a larger working volume. Clear glass construction permits straightforward visual control of the contents. Supplied as 1 pc with a weight of 0,963 kg, the flask fits conventional laboratory stands and clamps. The matched 29/32 centre and side necks on a 4000 ml body provide a versatile, balanced configuration for medium- to larger-scale laboratory procedures needing simultaneous multi-port access.

Questions about Three-necked round-bottom flask, DURAN®, 4000 ml, side necks 29/32, centre 29/32

What is this article?

Three-necked round-bottom flask, DURAN®, 4000 ml, side necks 29/32, centre 29/32 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Lenz for laboratory use. It sits in Round-bottom flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A round-bottom flask is the heating flask of a distillation or a reflux. The curved wall takes the heat, and the ground neck connects to a still head or a condenser. The joint size, not only the volume, has to match the rest of the set.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
