Description
Ultra-low temperature freezer UFV500-230V-W is a cabinet-style laboratory freezer for secure sample storage across a controlled range from −90 °C to −40 °C. Its nominal volume of 477 l is served by a powerful cascade compression refrigeration system that uses environmentally friendly refrigerants R-290 and R-170. Vacuum insulation panels provide efficient thermal insulation, while a novel door-seal concept helps reduce ice formation at the door. The fully stainless-steel interior includes three flexibly positionable stainless-steel shelves and removable stainless-steel inner doors, complemented by an ergonomic door locking lever. Models from manufacturer Binder also integrate a potential-free alarm contact for house alarm systems, an internal data logger with open-format USB readout, an Ethernet interface and an operating-hours counter. Two rear feed-throughs of Ø 28 mm support external connections. Forced-air temperature control and an ignition-source-free usable space aid safe routine use; water cooling is available depending on the variant. Supplied as 1 pc with Euro plug (Type C).

Questions about Ultra low temperature freezers UFV500-230V-W
What is this article?
Ultra low temperature freezers UFV500-230V-W is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Binder for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory refrigerators & freezers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A laboratory refrigerator or freezer holds reagents and samples at a stated temperature, often with an alarm and a spark-free interior when solvent is stored. A domestic fridge has neither the alarm nor, usually, the spark-free claim. The set point and the volume are the specification.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
