UTTD control Pharma Solution is a specialised disperser package for crushing and dissolving tablets ahead of pharmaceutical analysis. Many standardised test procedures in the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmacopoeia tests described in official compendia such as the United States Pharmacopeia (USP 905) and European Pharmacopoeia (PhEur 2.9.40), require tablet comminution and dissolution as the first step before further analysis. Typical sample-preparation challenges include cross-contamination between batches, laborious cleaning and often very small sample quantities. This package from manufacturer IKA combines the powerful ULTRA-TURRAX® Tube Drive P control homogenising system, designed for universal use, with disposable mixing vessels fitted with a dissolver disc (DIS-300-S-M, 300 ml volume). Together they deliver optimal crushing and thorough dissolution of tablets and capsules in various solvents. The hermetically sealable single-use sample containers serve simultaneously as mixing vessel, storage unit and transport container, substantially reducing cleaning effort and systematically excluding cross-contamination. Users benefit from lower handling costs and fewer failed analyses. Samples can be withdrawn or media added through the pierceable membrane in the vessel lid.
