Description
Volumetric flask, brown glass, white graduation, class A, KB, 250 ml, NS 14/23, coated is a precision laboratory vessel intended for accurate volumetric work with light-sensitive or hazardous media. Produced from borosilicate glass 3.3, the brown body protects contents from light while white enamel graduations remain clearly readable. The flask body is covered with a specially composed transparent coating that functions like a protective glove. In the event of breakage the coating retains glass fragments, reduces impact effects and minimises leakage of dangerous or valuable solutions; in most cases the liquid remains inside the flask. The coating tolerates temperatures up to 135 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes, can be cleaned at up to 95 °C and autoclaved at 121 °C, but must never come into direct contact with an open flame. Technical specifications match those of the corresponding clear and brown coated series. Supplied in packs of 2 pieces, this coated volumetric flask from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte is particularly recommended when handling hazardous or precious solutions. The NS 14/23 ground joint enables secure stoppering for class A volumetric applications in analytical and research settings.

Questions about volumetric flask - standard - amber - class A - conformity batch certified -
What is this article?
volumetric flask - standard - amber - class A - conformity batch certified - is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric flasks, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A volumetric flask is calibrated to contain one volume at a reference temperature, with a single mark on a narrow neck. Class A is the tight tolerance. It is not a storage bottle and it is not for heating. The stopper is part of the calibrated article.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
