Description

WINLAB magnetic stirrer 2010 with round hot plate is a laboratory magnetic stirrer with integrated heating for routine tasks and educational use. The modern housing incorporates a white ceramic-coated round hot plate of 135 mm diameter that offers excellent heat transfer. Its construction largely prevents liquid from entering the instrument if samples boil over or vessels tip. A maintenance-free brushless DC motor starts gently to stop the stir bar jumping out, while an integrated PID control programme with internal Pt 1000 sensor ensures accurate temperature and speed regulation. Heating power reaches 600 W across a range from ambient temperature to 310 °C, with temperature deviation of ±1 °C when the Pt 1000 is used. Stirring speed is adjustable from 50 to 1500 min⁻¹ for volumes up to 5 l on a single stirring position. Overall dimensions are 150 × 250 × 85 mm (W × D × H) with 230 V AC supply. The unit from manufacturer Windaus (Winlab®) is delivered complete with a magnetic stir bar for immediate laboratory deployment.

Questions about WINLAB magnetic stirrer 2010 with round heating plate

What is this article?

WINLAB magnetic stirrer 2010 with round heating plate is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Windaus for laboratory use. It sits in Hot plates & heating blocks, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A hot plate heats a flat-bottom vessel from below, often with stirring. A heating block holds tubes in machined holes so each tube sees the same temperature. The block's hole diameter has to match the tube, or the heat never arrives.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
