Description

Glass electrode for redox and temperature is a refillable ORP sensor with integrated temperature measurement for general laboratory applications. Built in glass with a single ceramic diaphragm (flow rate 15–20 µL/h), single Ag/AgCl reference and 3,5 M KCl + AgCl electrolyte, it features a platinum pin tip and covers a redox range of ±2000 mV. An internal microchip stores sensor type, ID and calibration data that are automatically recalled by edge® meters upon connection via the 3,5 mm jack plug. The 1 m cable, built-in temperature sensor and amplifier support reliable operation from −5 to 100 °C at a maximum pressure of 0,1 bar. Matching pin is not included. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer Hanna Instruments, this double-function glass redox electrode pairs advanced digital identification with classic refillable chemistry for edge® laboratory systems. Net weight is approximately 0,3 kg, making it a practical choice for routine ORP and temperature work under the stated conditions.

Questions about Digital Glass Body ORP Electrode for General Purpose

What is this article?

Digital Glass Body ORP Electrode for General Purpose is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
