Description

Fine filter cartridge 10'', 5 µm, Big Blue is a melt-blown sediment cartridge for fine particulate removal in laboratory and process water systems. It combines a 5 µm pore size with a 10'' length in Big Blue format, giving a compact fine-filter element for housings that accept this geometry. The melt-blown filter is specified with an inner diameter of 28 mm and an outer diameter of 110 mm, matching Big Blue-style sediment cartridges used as prefilters. Compatibility is indicated for Protegra CS RO models 500, 750, EDI 500 and EDI 750; Protegra OF RO models 500, 750 and 1000; and Protegra CS Pro models 500, 750 and 1000. In these trains the cartridge supports sediment reduction ahead of reverse-osmosis or EDI stages. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer Evoqua Water Technologies, it is intended for routine cartridge replacement where a 10'', 5 µm Big Blue fine filter is required. The design focuses on depth sediment capture within the melt-blown matrix for stable operation in the listed Protegra configurations.

Questions about Fine filter cartridge 10'', 5 µm, Big Blue

What is this article?

Fine filter cartridge 10'', 5 µm, Big Blue is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Evoqua Water Technologies for laboratory use. It sits in Filter cartridges & capsules, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A cartridge or a capsule is a pleated filter for a larger volume than a syringe filter, often in a housing or as a disposable capsule. Pore size, membrane and the connection, hose barb or sanitary, are the specification. It is the filter of a transfer line, not of a single injection.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
