Description

ISE electrode for fluoride, half-cell is a solid-state ion-selective half-cell electrode designed for determination of free fluoride in drinking water, soft drinks, wine, plants, emulsified foods, electroplating and acid pickling. The epoxy resin body delivers a measuring range from 1 M to 1 × 10⁻⁶ M, from saturated levels down to 0,02 mg/L. Optimal pH is 5–8, temperature range 0–80 °C and approximate slope −56. A 1 m coaxial cable with BNC connector is fitted; dimensions are Ø 12 mm × 120 mm. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Hanna Instruments, the half-cell requires reference electrode HI5315. Net weight is 0,246 kg. This configuration supports free-fluoride assays across beverage, food and surface-treatment matrices, combining solid-state sensing stability with standard BNC connectivity for integration into laboratory ISE systems used for quantitative fluoride control and quality monitoring.

Questions about Fluoride Half-Cell Ion Selective Electrode, Solid State

What is this article?

Fluoride Half-Cell Ion Selective Electrode, Solid State is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
