Description

Food pH/°C electrode for meat with 1 m cable and Quick Connect DIN is a single-junction pH electrode with integrated preamplifier and temperature sensor for demanding food measurements. The body is PVDF with a low-temperature glass tip and a conical sensing geometry of 6 mm × 10 mm. An open junction and silver-free Viscolene hard-gel electrolyte sit between the internal Ag/AgCl reference cell and the sample, reducing clogging in protein-rich matrices. Combined with the conical tip and optional stainless steel blades FC098 or FC099, the design supports reliable insertion into meat and other solid foods. Measuring range is pH 0 to 12; recommended operating temperature is 0 to 50 °C at a maximum pressure of 0,1 bar. The 7-pin, 1 m cable with Quick Connect DIN mates with compatible meters such as HI98163 and HI98190 from manufacturer Hanna Instruments. Built-in amplification and temperature compensation support stable field and laboratory readings. Pack size is 1 piece for food quality control and process monitoring.

What is this article?

Foodcare pH/°C Electrode for Meat Products, 1 m cabel, DIN is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
