Description
IKA ROTATEMP is a high-temperature heating system designed for use with ROTAVISC viscometers, reaching temperatures up to 300 °C. It enables precise temperature control when measuring difficult, highly viscous media such as asphalt, bitumen, wax, polymers, candy mass or hot-melt adhesives. Proven heating technology from the magnetic stirrer range heats the sample to 300 °C in only 16 minutes when silicone oil is used, without overheating. Heating furnace and control unit are combined in a single compact instrument with a small footprint, saving valuable bench space in the laboratory. The system is fully compatible with the labworldsoft® 6 Visc viscometer software, allowing automation, control and documentation of measurements. Supplied as one complete unit from manufacturer IKA, ROTATEMP supports reliable high-temperature viscosity work on samples that are otherwise hard to characterise. Net weight is 5,980 kg, making the instrument stable yet manageable for routine laboratory installation.

Questions about IKA ROTATEMP, Heating system for ROTAVISC up to 300°C
What is this article?
IKA ROTATEMP, Heating system for ROTAVISC up to 300°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature control accessories, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
Temperature-control accessories are the probes, the lids, the racks and the fluids that complete a bath or a circulator. A lid is what keeps a water bath from evaporating away. The fluid's flash point is part of the choice.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
