Description

Minisart® High Flow syringe filter 16553----------K with 0,1 µm polyethersulfone (PES) membrane is optimised for highest flow rates and a pH working range of 3–12. Type 16553 supports sterile filtration and mycoplasma removal and is fitted with a Luer Lock outlet for secure laboratory connections. Version K is individually packed and sterilised by ethylene oxide (EO). Supplied in packs of 50 pieces from manufacturer Sartorius, these disposable filters enable rapid processing of aqueous samples in life-science, pharmaceutical and analytical workflows. The PES membrane combines high throughput with reliable retention performance within the stated pH window, making the unit suitable for clarifying and sterilising media, buffers and process solutions where mycoplasma control is required. Compact syringe-filter format integrates easily into existing sample-preparation and sterile-processing steps, delivering consistent results for research, quality-control and routine laboratory filtration tasks that demand both speed and dependable particle retention.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartPES;0,1m;28mm;sterile;50pc

What is this article?

MinisartPES;0,1m;28mm;sterile;50pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
