Description

Minisart® High Flow syringe filter 16541----------Q with polyethersulfone (PES) membrane is optimised for highest flow rates and a pH range of 3–12. Type 16541 offers a pore size of 0,22 µm and can be used for sterile filtration; it is fitted with a Luer Slip outlet. The Q version is supplied non-sterile and packed in a bag. Individual units may subsequently be sterilised by gamma irradiation or ethylene oxide. This disposable syringe filter from manufacturer Sartorius is intended for single-use filtration work where rapid throughput and PES chemical compatibility across the stated pH window are required. The High Flow PES construction supports efficient liquid handling in laboratory filtration steps. Supplied in a pack of 500 pieces, the filters arrive ready for optional sterilisation according to the user’s validated protocol. The combination of 0,22 µm retention, Luer Slip connectivity and high-flow PES membrane makes the 16541----------Q a practical choice for routine sterile filtration tasks within the defined operating range.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartPES;0.22 µm;28mm;nsterile;50

What is this article?

MinisartPES;0.22 µm;28mm;nsterile;50 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
