Description

Minisart® SRP15 syringe filter 17573--------ACK with 0,2 µm hydrophobic PTFE membrane is a disposable device intended for sample preparation, sterile filtration and venting of aggressive solvents across the full pH range 1–14. The chemically inert PTFE membrane offers broad solvent compatibility while the 15 mm diameter housing enables efficient handling of small liquid or gas volumes. Type 17573 features a male slip outlet for straightforward syringe connection. The ACK execution is individually packed and sterilised by ethylene oxide (EO), supporting aseptic laboratory workflows. Available in packs of 50 pc(s) with a net weight of 0,269 kg from manufacturer Sartorius, these filters protect analytical systems and clarify solutions prior to HPLC or other sensitive techniques. Hydrophobic character makes the units especially suitable for organic solvents and gas filtration where aqueous wetting is undesirable. Consistent 0,2 µm pore integrity ensures reliable particle retention. The ready-to-use sterile packaging maintains cleanliness until the moment of application in chemical, pharmaceutical and research environments.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartPTFE;0,2m;15mm;sterile;50p

What is this article?

MinisartPTFE;0,2m;15mm;sterile;50p is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
