Description

Minisart® SRP15 syringe filter with 0,45 µm hydrophobic PTFE membrane delivers chemically inert filtration for venting duties and aggressive solvents over the full pH range of 1 to 14. This 15 mm diameter unit features a male slip outlet and is intended for sample preparation in analytical and preparative laboratory work. Offered non-sterile in bag packaging as version K, the filters from manufacturer Sartorius may be sterilised afterwards by autoclaving or ethylene oxide. The polytetrafluoroethylene construction ensures excellent chemical compatibility with organic solvents and harsh media routinely encountered in research, quality control and environmental laboratories. Hydrophobic PTFE membranes excel at permitting gas exchange while resisting aqueous wetting, supporting reliable performance in venting configurations and solvent clarification steps. Supplied in a practical pack of 50 pieces, these syringe filters provide a convenient format for laboratories that require dependable particle retention and broad solvent resistance without the need for large bulk quantities.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartPTFE;0.45 µm;15mm;nsterile;5

What is this article?

MinisartPTFE;0.45 µm;15mm;nsterile;5 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
