Description

Minisart® RC15 syringe filter 17762----------Q with 0,45 µm pore size features a hydrophilic regenerated cellulose (RC) membrane designed for efficient filtration of aqueous solutions and organic solvents. This 15 mm diameter unit performs reliably across a pH range of 3–14 and is resistant to DMSO, making it suitable for a wide variety of sample preparation applications. Type 17762 includes a Luer Slip outlet for straightforward connection to syringes and is intended for clarification and particulate removal prior to analysis. The non-sterile Q version is packed in a bag of 500 pieces; units can be sterilised by the user via autoclave or ethylene oxide when sterile conditions are needed. Produced by manufacturer Sartorius, Minisart® RC filters deliver consistent retention, low extractables and good chemical compatibility. The compact RC15 geometry balances filtration area with minimal hold-up volume, supporting economical high-throughput use in research, quality-control and routine laboratory environments.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartRC;0.45 µm;15mm;nsterile;500

What is this article?

MinisartRC;0.45 µm;15mm;nsterile;500 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
