Description

Multiparameter probe for HI98195, without sensors, 10 m cable is a robust probe body designed to accept sensors for pH, redox potential, conductivity and temperature when used with the HI98195 multiparameter meter. A Quick Connect DIN connector links the probe quickly, securely and watertight to the handheld instrument. Connected sensors are recognised automatically by probe and meter; unused ports disable or hide the corresponding parameters on the display. Field replacement is straightforward thanks to screw-type sensor fittings and colour-coded ports that prevent mix-ups. The multi-core shielded, reinforced cable is supplied in a 10 m length and is rated for a tensile load of 68 kg under non-continuous use. Two sensor ports support pH or pH/ORP plus conductivity. The probe is rated IP68, suitable for freshwater, brackish water or seawater, with a maximum immersion depth of 20 m. Dimensions without cable are 342 mm length × 46 mm diameter and the probe weighs 570 g. Wetted materials include an ABS body, nylon threads, ABS/AISI 316 protective sleeve, AISI 316 temperature probe and EPDM O-rings. Delivered without sensors and protective cap from manufacturer Hanna Instruments as one piece.

Questions about Multiparameter probe for HI98195, no sensors, 10 m cable

What is this article?

Multiparameter probe for HI98195, no sensors, 10 m cable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
