Description

NA 800/S7 is a sodium ion-selective combined glass electrode fitted with an S7 plug head for laboratory ion measurement. The electrode incorporates a reference system filled with 3 mol/l KCl electrolyte and covers a measuring range from 0,01 mg/l to 23,000 mg/l sodium, corresponding to approximately 0,000001 mol/l to 1 mol/l. Designed as a combination electrode, it integrates the sensing and reference half-cells in a single body, simplifying setup for sodium determinations in aqueous samples. For correct operation the electrode requires standard solution ES/Na, ionic-strength adjuster ISA/Na, and a connecting cable of type AS/DIN or AS/BNC. Supplied as a single unit from manufacturer WTW – a Xylem brand, the NA 800/S7 supports routine and research applications in water analysis, quality control and process laboratories where selective sodium measurement is required. The S7 plug-head interface allows flexible cable choice and straightforward connection to compatible meters, making the electrode a practical component of ion-selective electrode workflows.

What is this article?

NA 800/S7, Sodium ion selective glass alectrode with S7 plug head, reference ele is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
