Description

PH60Z-SA Smart pH meter set is designed for accurate portable pH measurement in strongly alkaline or high-salt aqueous solutions. The PH60-Z meter is combined with the LabSen 845 ATC/pH electrode, which employs a silver-ion-trap reference system, open junction and polymer electrolyte for stable performance in demanding matrices. Automatic 1- to 3-point calibration, automatic temperature compensation (0–50 °C) and Heads-Up function simplify operation. Measuring range is –2,00 to 16,00 pH with ±0,01 pH accuracy; ORP extends to ±1000 mV and temperature to 0–50 °C. The IP67-rated housing is waterproof, dust-proof and buoyant. Bluetooth connection to the ZenTest Mobile App supports cloud data management including time stamps, geo-location, notes and photos, while the meter can be used fully without a smartphone. The ready-to-use set from manufacturer APERA Instruments contains calibration solutions (pH 4,00 / 7,00 / 10,01), storage solution, CalBox, batteries and carrying case. The LabSen 845 electrode features a hemispherical HA membrane, lead-free glass body and operates from 0–14 pH and 0–130 °C.

Questions about PH60-Z Smart Pocket pH Tester (powered by ZenTest Mobile App)

What is this article?

PH60-Z Smart Pocket pH Tester (powered by ZenTest Mobile App) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
