Description

PH60F Premium pocket pH meter for surface measurements is a handheld instrument with a flat electrode for reliable pH determination on flat materials such as skin, fabrics and paper. The replaceable flat sensor supports fast, precise readings with ±0,01 pH accuracy over a range of −2,00 to 16,00 pH, together with automatic temperature compensation from 0 to 50 °C. One- to three-point calibration with automatic buffer recognition simplifies routine work, while a large bright LCD shows pH and temperature simultaneously. A Heads-Up function lets users set minimum and maximum limits, and three background colours distinguish measurement, calibration and warning modes. The IP67 housing is waterproof and buoyant; four AAA batteries provide up to 1000 hours of operation with automatic shut-off after eight minutes of inactivity. Compact dimensions of 40 × 40 × 178 mm and a net weight of 133 g suit portable use. The complete kit from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes calibration solutions (pH 4,00; 7,00; 10,01), 3M KCl storage solution, batteries, lanyard and carrying case. The PH60F-E electrode is replaceable and the meter accepts all 60-series pH electrodes plus an optional ORP60-E electrode.

Questions about PH60F Pocket pH Pocket Tester Kit for Surface Testing

What is this article?

PH60F Pocket pH Pocket Tester Kit for Surface Testing is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
