Description

Combined plastic pH electrode for general use with CAT probe features an epoxy plastic shaft especially suited to everyday laboratory measurements. The sensor uses an Ag/AgCl reference system with a non-refillable electrolyte solution and a porous Teflon diaphragm. Measuring range covers pH 0 to 14, and the maximum working temperature is 100 °C. Dimensions are 120 x 12 mm. It is supplied with a BNC connector and a 1 m cable, and is available with CAT interfaces including 10K/3,5 mm jack for METRIA instruments and 30K/CINCH for Mettler-Toledo, Fisher and VWR devices. This electrode from manufacturer Labbox is a practical choice for general-purpose pH work where a durable plastic body is preferred. The sealed electrolyte design keeps maintenance low, while the porous Teflon junction supports stable contact with typical aqueous and laboratory samples in routine analytical settings.

What is this article?

Plastic body dual pH electrode with ATC probe, general use, 30K/BNC/CINCH is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
