Description

Sartopore® 2 Maxicaps® 0,2 µm, 20'', sterile (autoclaved) are sterilizing-grade capsule filters built around a high-performance double-layer polyethersulfone membrane. The dual-layer design supports high throughput together with broad chemical compatibility, making the capsules suitable for diverse liquid filtration tasks. Scalability from research and development through to full-scale production is a core attribute of the Sartopore® 2 family from manufacturer Sartorius. Supplied sterile after autoclaving in the Maxicaps® 20'' format, this variant is intended for process trains that require a ready-to-use sterilizing filter. Each pack contains 2 pc(s), with a net weight of 1,400 kg and a gross weight of 2,520 kg. High flow capability and robust capsule construction favour demanding industrial and biopharmaceutical applications where retention performance and processing speed must be balanced. The 0,2 µm sterilizing-grade rating addresses critical filtration steps prior to fill-finish or intermediate hold. Select this autoclaved Maxicaps® option when validated sterile supply and double-layer PES performance are required at production scale.

Questions about Sartopore 2 Maxicaps 0.2m 20'' 1pc

What is this article?

Sartopore 2 Maxicaps 0.2m 20'' 1pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Filter cartridges & capsules, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A cartridge or a capsule is a pleated filter for a larger volume than a syringe filter, often in a housing or as a disposable capsule. Pore size, membrane and the connection, hose barb or sanitary, are the specification. It is the filter of a transfer line, not of a single injection.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
