Description

Sartopure® GF Plus Maxicaps® 0,65 µm 10'' is an adsorptive depth filter for biopharmaceutical fluid clarification. Its dual-layer pleated glass fleece medium is designed to remove colloids, lipids, protein aggregates (host cell protein) and particles, helping protect membrane filters, chromatography columns and ultrafiltration systems in pharmaceutical and biotechnological production. The finer 0,65 µm rating targets tighter particle and aggregate control within the Maxicaps® capsule platform, while the construction aims to balance total throughput with turbidity reduction. This 10'' Maxicaps® unit is supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Sartorius, is non-sterile, and has a net weight of 0,700 kg. Sartopure® GF Plus filters are used where adsorptive depth filtration supports stable downstream processing by lowering contaminant load before membrane, chromatographic or ultrafiltration stages. The compact 10'' format suits installations that require the GF Plus glass-fleece performance in a shorter capsule length for process development or production trains with corresponding housing capacity.

This article is part of Filter cartridges & capsules, in Filtration.

Questions about Sartopure GF+ Maxicaps 0.65m 10'' 1 pc

What is this article?

Sartopure GF+ Maxicaps 0.65m 10'' 1 pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Filter cartridges & capsules, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A cartridge or a capsule is a pleated filter for a larger volume than a syringe filter, often in a housing or as a disposable capsule. Pore size, membrane and the connection, hose barb or sanitary, are the specification. It is the filter of a transfer line, not of a single injection.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
