Description

Sartopure® GF Plus Midicaps® 0,65 µm Size 0 are adsorptive depth filters that use two layers of pleated glass fleece to remove contaminants from biopharmaceutical fluids. They target colloids, lipids, protein aggregates including host cell protein, and particles that can impair downstream operations. Within pharmaceutical and biotechnological production they serve as protective prefilters for membrane filters, chromatography columns and ultrafiltration systems, aiding clarification and load reduction. The dual-layer glass-fleece build provides a practical combination of total throughput and turbidity reduction typical of the Sartopure® GF Plus concept. Packs contain 2 pieces with a net weight of 0,560 kg and gross weight of 0,860 kg; the Size 0 Midicaps® format is suited to workflows that need adsorptive depth filtration at a 0,65 µm rating. From manufacturer Sartorius, these units belong to the new generation of adsorptive depth filters for biopharmaceutical process streams. Supplied non-sterile, they fit into filtration trains for particle control and turbidity management ahead of sensitive purification stages.

Questions about Sartopure GF+ Midicaps 0.65m Size 0 2pc

What is this article?

Sartopure GF+ Midicaps 0.65m Size 0 2pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Filter cartridges & capsules, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A cartridge or a capsule is a pleated filter for a larger volume than a syringe filter, often in a housing or as a disposable capsule. Pore size, membrane and the connection, hose barb or sanitary, are the specification. It is the filter of a transfer line, not of a single injection.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
