Description
Savant™ SpeedVac™ SPD140DDA is a medium-capacity modular vacuum concentrator for combinatorial chemistry and for evaporating strong acids, bases and aggressive organic solvents including TFA and DMSO. Building on the large-capacity platform, it adds radiant lamps within the chamber, a heated lid for high-boiling solvents such as DMSO and DMF, independent timers for heat and run, an audible end-of-run alarm, and a built-in vacuum gauge with display. A wider vapor port and tubing improve vapor throughput, while adjustable vacuum helps limit bumping and optimize drying. The acid-resistant design supports demanding solvent sets such as acetic acid, ammonium hydroxide, formic acid, hydrochloric acid, TFA, methylene chloride mixtures, acetone/HCl, DMSO/methanol, DMF and toluene. Typical uses include drying lipid extractions, flash chromatography fractions, solid-phase synthesis cleavage solutions, compound management and related evaporation tasks. This Thermo Scientific unit is specified for 230 V/50 Hz, UL listed to US and Canadian requirements and CE marked. Rotors for many sample formats are available separately. Pack size is 1 pc.

What is this article?
Savant™ SpeedVac™ Medium Capacity Vacuum Concentrators for is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Equipment LED for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrafiltration & concentrators, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.
An ultrafiltration device holds back macromolecules above a stated molecular-weight cutoff and passes salts and water. It concentrates a protein or exchanges its buffer. The cutoff, the volume and whether it is a centrifugal device or a stirred cell are the specification. A 0.2 µm syringe filter does not do this.
Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
