Description

SenTix® 81 is a glass pH electrode with liquid electrolyte and an integrated temperature sensor for simultaneous pH and temperature acquisition. The 120 mm electrode is equipped with a 1 m cable featuring a waterproof DIN connector together with a banana plug, allowing both pH and temperature signals to be transmitted to compatible meters. Liquid electrolyte maintains stable junction potential across standard laboratory samples and calibration solutions. Integrated temperature sensing supports automatic temperature compensation, improving measurement accuracy when sample temperature varies. Net weight is 0,189 kg, keeping the assembly manageable for routine bench work. The SenTix® 81 is designed for laboratories that require combined pH/temperature data and works seamlessly with instruments from WTW - a Xylem brand as well as other systems accepting DIN and banana connections. Robust glass construction and the sealed DIN interface help ensure reliable performance in daily analytical workflows for quality control, research and educational environments.

Questions about SenTix® 81, Glass pH combination electrode with built-in temperature sensor, wat

What is this article?

SenTix® 81, Glass pH combination electrode with built-in temperature sensor, wat is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
