Description

testo 735-1 is a versatile 3-channel temperature measuring instrument for core, surface and air temperature applications across laboratories, climate cabinets, calibration tasks and food industry use. One probe input accepts high-precision Pt100 sensors while two further inputs take fast type K, T, J and S thermocouple probes, enabling simultaneous measurement at up to six points when optional wireless probes are added. An optional radio module receives readings from up to three additional temperature radio probes over distances of up to 20 m in free field, avoiding cable damage and handling restrictions.

This article is part of Digital thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

With Pt100 technology the system can reach accuracy down to 0,05 °C and resolution of 0,001 °C, making the instrument suitable as a working standard for calibrating stationary temperature probes. The measuring range extends from −200 °C to 1760 °C. Min, max and mean values plus differential temperature (Delta T) appear on the illuminated LCD; freely definable limit alarms sound acoustically. The handheld unit (Testo) is battery-powered, rated IP65, tested to EN 13485, HACCP-compliant and HACCP-International certified. Dimensions are 74 mm × 46 mm × 220 mm; pack size is 1 pc.

Questions about testo 735-1 - Temperature measuring, instrument, 3-channel

What is this article?

testo 735-1 - Temperature measuring, instrument, 3-channel is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Digital thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A digital thermometer is a display plus a sensor. The resolution on the screen can be finer than the accuracy. The stated accuracy and the calibration point are what the number is worth. The probe type has to be the one the meter expects.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
