Description

Gravestone tester SAUTER FL 500G is an electronic tilt tester designed for professional assessment of gravestone stability in accordance with VSG 4.7. It is well suited to documented acceptance work by stonemason specialist firms and supports series measurements with later transfer of stored data to a PC when used with optional software AFH FAST. Internal memory holds up to 500 measured values. A programmable limit-value function issues an optical signal when the set stability threshold is exceeded, so each result does not need to be read individually. Peak-Hold automatically retains the maximum force on the display.

This article is part of pH meters, in pH & electrochemistry.

A stainless-steel handle with rubber coating ensures secure handling, while the wide pressure plate with foam-rubber surface applies force without scratching the stone. The robust metal housing is built for lasting use under harsh outdoor conditions, and battery operation well beyond 8 h supports mobile use over a full working day. Scope of delivery includes one FL 500/FL 1K unit, one AE 08 and one AFH 04. Supplied from manufacturer Kern, the complete set has a net weight of 1,8 kg and is intended for professional stability testing in the field.

Questions about Tombstone tester SAUTER FL 500G

What is this article?

Tombstone tester SAUTER FL 500G is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
