Description

RPMI 1640 Medium without L-glutamine is a cell culture medium developed for the long-term culture of blood cells and for the culture of normal and abnormal human leukocytes, including neoplastic white blood cells. It is also established as a general medium, used with serum, for hybridoma cultures. The formulation is modified with sodium bicarbonate and phenol red, and deliberately omits L-glutamine so laboratories can control glutamine supplementation according to their own protocols. Supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,100 kg and a gross weight of 0,140 kg, the unit suits routine research and production cell-culture settings. This RPMI 1640 variant from manufacturer Sartorius fits haematology, immunology, and hybridoma workflows that prefer glutamine-free basal medium. Country of origin is Israel. Groups working with blood-derived cells, neoplastic leukocytes, or hybridomas can pair the medium with the glutamine source and serum regimen required by their assay design, retaining full flexibility over amino-acid addition timing and concentration.

Questions about RPMI Medium 1640 w/o Glutamine 100ML

What is this article?

RPMI Medium 1640 w/o Glutamine 100ML is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Click chemistry, bioconjugation & synthesis reagents, inside Biochemicals & reagents, in Microbiologie.

Click and bioconjugation reagents join two molecules under mild conditions, often an azide to an alkyne, or an NHS ester to an amine. The linker length and the reactive group are the specification. They are small bottles of a reactive compound, and moisture often ruins them.

A biochemical is a molecule of life, sold as a reagent: an amino acid, a sugar, a nucleotide, a lipid, an enzyme, an antibiotic. The difference from a bulk chemical is that the use is a biological one, and the impurities that matter are the ones that change that use. An enzyme is specified by activity, not only by mass. An antibiotic is specified by potency. Papers are on PubMed. Structures are on PubChem. Strains and lines that consume these reagents are at ATCC.
