Description
Adapter KERN KUP-06 is a Bluetooth BLE (v4.0) interface adapter with cable for linking balances to PCs, mobile devices and other peripherals. The module belongs to the KERN Universal Port (KUP) family and is supplied with a cable length of 0,15 m. KUP enables exchange of weighing data and control commands between the balance and a network, PC, mobile end device or printer via several interface paths, including RS-232, USB device, Ethernet, Bluetooth and WLAN. This supports straightforward integration of balances into production and process chains. Fitting is designed as plug-and-play: the adapter is plugged onto the DB-15 connector integrated in the instrument, so interfaces can be retrofitted or replaced without opening the balance housing or performing complex installation. The Bluetooth BLE KUP variant from manufacturer Kern thus combines wireless-capable connectivity with simple handling and limited additional cost. Pack size is 1 pc; net weight is 0,10 kg and gross weight 0,15 kg, providing a compact accessory for flexible balance data communication.

Questions about Adapter KERN KUP-06
What is this article?
Adapter KERN KUP-06 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Balance accessories, calibration & certificates, inside Balances & scales, in Instruments de laboratoire.
These are the draft shields, the pans, the ionisers, the printers and the calibration certificates that belong to a balance. A certificate states the errors found at stated loads. It does not make a different balance correct.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
