It constitutes the lower vial section of the electrode assembly and is paired with the rod, which is recommended as the anode, to form a complete electrochemical cell for screening applications. The active surface of the cathode reaches up to 700 mm², providing an extended interface for electrochemical experiments. Delivered as a single piece, this outer electrode from manufacturer IKA is intended for laboratories that require copper as the cathode material within the e-Hive workflow. Additional electrode materials can be requested to match specific experimental needs.
