Les paillettes de glace ont une température de 0,5 °C ; leur surface irrégulière et étendue procure un très bon effet refroidissant. Chaque paillette est saturée et ferme, et elles ne collent pas entre elles.
Deux versions sont disponibles : version standard pour une utilisation avec de l'eau potable. Une version laboratoire pour une utilisation avec de l'eau déminéralisée (conductivité ≤30 μS) est également disponible.
