Standard heating mantle PILZ® -Classic-Line- G2 is a laboratory heating mantle for round-bottom flasks of 10,000 ml with a flask diameter of 279 mm. It runs on 230 VAC at a rated power of 2,000 W and allows a maximum permissible operating temperature of 450 °C. The heating body is hand-crocheted from glass silk to give optimal heat transfer to the flask wall. Two heating zones are managed by a series-parallel rotary switch with selectable levels OFF, 25 %, 50 % and 100 %: at 25 % zones 1 and 2 are series-connected, at 50 % only the lower zone is active, and at 100 % both zones run in parallel. A bottom hole of Ø 62 mm supports typical laboratory setups. The mantle has a detachable plug connection with 0,50 m cable and is supplied with a personal protection plug with FI residual-current function plus a Schuko type E/F mains cable of 1,00 m. Net weight is 4,4 kg (gross weight 4,7 kg). This G2 Classic-Line unit from manufacturer Winkler is intended for controlled heating of large round flasks in chemical and process laboratories.
