Description

HPM D2M is a monocular laboratory light microscope configured for routine brightfield observation with a 30° inclined viewing tube and a head rotatable through 360°. It is fitted with a wide-field WFP 10x/20 mm eyepiece with foldable eyecups and high-resolution semi-plan objectives at 4x, 10x and 40x, delivering practical magnifications of 40x, 100x and 400x for stained slides and unstained preparations. The mechanical stage measures 140 x 155 mm and integrates a coaxial cross-travel drive with ergonomically placed controls. A centreable Abbe condenser (NA 1,25) with iris diaphragm and filter holder is height-adjustable for Köhler-style illumination. New-generation 3 W LED lighting with Köhler iris provides continuously variable intensity via potentiometer, intensity comparable to a 30 W halogen lamp and an LED service life of about 50.000 hours. Scope of delivery from manufacturer Windaus includes dust cover, power cable and operating instructions. Pack size is 1 pc. Suitable for teaching, quality control and general laboratory microscopy.

Questions about HPM D2M

What is this article?

HPM D2M is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Windaus for laboratory use. It sits in Microscopy accessories, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instruments de laboratoire.

Microscopy accessories are the stages, the holders, the bulbs and the cameras' adapters that are not the objective and not the slide. A C-mount adapter of the wrong factor crops or vignettes the image. The accessory has to name the microscope it fits.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
