Description
ICP-MS Multi-Element Standard Solution ROTI®Star is a multi-element calibration standard for inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. It contains six elements—copper, iron, lutetium, lead, ytterbium and zinc—each at 10 mg/l in 2 % nitric acid (HNO3). The aqueous matrix shows a density of approximately 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point of 100 °C, in line with dilute nitric acid solutions used for trace elemental work. Supplied as a 100 ml pack, the standard supports calibration series, instrument checks and multi-analyte method setup in analytical laboratories. This ROTI®Star solution from manufacturer Carl ROTH sits among standards for AAS and ICP, with a focus on ICP-MS applications, and is transport-classified under UN number 3264. Combining common transition metals with selected lanthanides and lead in one nitric acid matrix helps streamline preparation of working standards when several of these analytes are measured together. Dilute and matrix-match according to laboratory procedures and the requirements of the ICP-MS method in use.

Questions about ICP-MS Multi-Element Standard Solution ROTI®Star 6 elements in 2 % HNO3, 100 ml
What is this article?
ICP-MS Multi-Element Standard Solution ROTI®Star 6 elements in 2 % HNO3, 100 ml is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Produits chimiques.
An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.
A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
