PHYSICS 100-2 is a digital measuring instrument for precision measurements, equipped with two input sockets covering more than 65 measuring ranges. It accepts sensors including thermocouples, resistance thermometers, NTC, humidity and pressure probes, and supports PT-100 among the listed sensor types. Galvanic isolation is provided by a semiconductor relay rated to 50 V. The instrument offers four function channels or plugs, for example for dual probes, plus four internal device functions such as difference calculation. The AD converter is a 16-bit delta-sigma type operating at 2,5 or 10 M/s. Probe supply is 9 V at max. 150 mA on battery and 12 V at max. 150 mA on mains operation, with temperature resolution down to 0,01 °C. Intelligent probe display includes sensor-specific functions such as cold-junction compensation. Measurement functions cover measured value, zeroing, setpoint adjustment, two-point adjustment and scaling, with optional multipoint calibration for temperature. The function menu provides max/min, time average and single values or measuring points. Two output sockets, three mignon alkaline batteries and a mains-adapter input are included; the multilingual menu unit from manufacturer Schneider measures 127 × 83 × 42 mm, weighs about 290 g and is rated IP54.
