Description

InLab Redox is a combined redox electrode comprising a platinum-ring indicator electrode and a silver/silver chloride reference electrode for oxidation–reduction potential measurements. The measuring signal is generated on the noble-metal surface by electron exchange with the oxidation/reduction system of the sample medium, enabling direct ORP determination in laboratory media. The sensor features a glass shaft of 12 mm diameter and 120 mm length with an S7 screw head for standard meter connection. Its ARGENTHAL™ reference incorporates a silver-ion barrier, and the junction is a ceramic diaphragm; the indicator metal is a platinum ring. The stated temperature range is 0…100 °C. Supplied as one piece with a net and gross weight of 0,07 kg each, the electrode comes from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine and originates in Switzerland. Designed for electrochemical redox work within the broader electrode portfolio used for pH, conductivity, and oxygen sensing, InLab Redox suits routine laboratory ORP applications where a combined platinum-ring sensor with Ag/AgCl reference and ceramic diaphragm is required. The compact single-piece format supports straightforward installation and replacement on compatible instruments.

Questions about ORP electrode InLab Redox

What is this article?

ORP electrode InLab Redox is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Instruments de précision.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
