Description
Programmable electronic high-performance crimping station, base station is a laboratory sealing system for controlled crimping and opening of vial caps. The package includes the base high-performance crimper and the 12 V DC power supply with mains cable; accessories are not included. Fully programmable operation with rapidly interchangeable crimp and decap heads delivers high performance and is well suited to magnetic steel caps. Adjustable crimp settings support compatibility with most vial and cap combinations, including aluminium, steel and bimetal caps. Exchangeable crimp and opening heads can be swapped within seconds, and up to ten adjustable programmes are available for each head. A programmed unit helps ensure secure, repeatable crimp results across different vial/cap pairings. A crimp-strength sensor detects when the closure is correctly crimped and automatically opens the jaws. Supplied as one base station from manufacturer Altmann Analytik, it serves analytical and sample-preparation laboratories that need consistent electronic crimping with flexible head and programme management.
This article is part of Crimpers & decappers, in Vials, caps & septa.

Questions about Programmable Electronic High Power Station, basic tool, without accessory
What is this article?
Programmable Electronic High Power Station, basic tool, without accessory is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Altmann Analytik for laboratory use. It sits in Crimpers & decappers, inside Vials, caps & septa, in Chromatographie.
A crimper closes a crimp cap onto a vial neck. A decapper takes it off. The jaw size, 11 mm or 20 mm, has to match the cap. A crimp that is too tight cracks the neck. One that is too loose leaks in the tray. Electronic and manual tools differ in how repeatable the squeeze is.
An autosampler vial is the small closed bottle a chromatograph picks up. The neck is crimp, screw or snap, and the cap and the septum have to be that neck. The septum is the part the needle pierces. A soft septum reseals. A septum that is wrong for the solvent swells or sheds particles into the sample. Inserts reduce the volume when the sample is scarce. The separation they feed is described with IUPAC names and PubChem data.
