Description
Powerful recirculating chiller, designed for external cooling applications up to -30°C.
The energy-efficient chiller is operated with an eco-friendly refrigerant and reaches a high power density. This results in a comparatively small working space in the lab.
The speed-controlled PEEK pump allows an indirect, continuous adjustment of the maximum pressure and flow rate. Due to its excellent temperature stability of about ± 0,1 K, the RC 5 can handle even sophisticated applications. The isolated, high-quality 7l bath has an integrated hopper and drain valve, ensuring a safe and clean handling of the thermofluid. A hose can be connected to empty the bath in order to avoid direct contact with the thermofluid. The easy-to-open front flap allows an easy cleaning of the cooling unit’s air filter.

Questions about RC 5 basic, Recirculating chiller
What is this article?
RC 5 basic, Recirculating chiller is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Instruments de précision.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
Which category should I open next?
The category is Heating, drying & cooling. The sub-category is Circulators, chillers & thermostats. The catalogue is Instruments de précision.
Shelves beside this one are Muffle & tube furnaces, Heating mantles, Drying ovens & climate chambers, Water & oil baths, Hot plates & heating blocks, Incubators, Heating & cooling (other), Temperature control accessories, Laboratory refrigerators & freezers, Autoclaves & sterilisers, Bunsen & gas burners and Heating tapes, cables & plates.
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
