RC 5 control is a powerful recirculating chiller for external cooling duties down to −30 °C. The demand-regulated system runs on climate-friendly natural refrigerant R290 and combines high energy efficiency with a compact design that saves laboratory space and operating costs. A speed-controlled PEEK pressure and suction pump enables stepless indirect setting of maximum pressure and volume flow (0,6 bar; 31 l/min). Supplied with an external PT100 temperature sensor and offering temperature stability of ± 0,1 K, the unit meets the most exacting process requirements. The Wireless Controller (WiCo) permits safe, convenient operation from any location, while ten freely programmable temperature ramps of ten steps each simplify and automate workflows. The well-insulated 7 l tank features an integrated filling funnel and drain valve for clean, contact-free fluid handling; a front flap allows easy cleaning of the refrigeration air filter. Cooling capacity is 1400 W at 20 °C, with a working range of −30 °C to room temperature and extended operation to 80 °C. Additional control functions include confirmation mode, set-point signal, timer/counter and degassing. Interfaces comprise PT100 socket, Multi IO (solenoid valves, alarm, standby), RS 232 and USB. This IKA instrument is supplied as one piece.
