Beschrijving

Disc sensor, empty level is a laboratory fill-level monitoring sensor that triggers an alarm when collection containers approach empty status. LEDs and an acoustic buzzer provide timely optical and acoustic warnings before the fill level of collection vessels reaches a critical height, helping maintain continuous and safe waste-handling workflows. During a container change the alarm can be muted via the integrated touchpad. Pumps and other external devices can be controlled conveniently through the built-in interface. The unit supports simultaneous monitoring of two fill levels and uses status LEDs for clear fill-level indication. According to ATEX directives, Ex sensors used in potentially explosive atmospheres (Ex zones) must be installed together with a switching amplifier; signal boxes and switching amplifiers must be placed outside the Ex zone. This disc sensor from manufacturer SCAT is intended for laboratory disposal and collection systems where reliable empty-level signalling is required. It complements SCAT safety waste handling setups by giving operators early warning and straightforward external-device control via the interface.

Questions about Disc sensor, empty level

What is this article?

Disc sensor, empty level is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Instrumenten.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
