External probe for data logger 88161 (with handle) is a handled remote temperature sensor accessory intended for the compatible 88161 data logger. Connected to the host unit, it enables external temperature measurement on a platform that stores up to 48 000 readings over a range of −30 to 70 °C with 0,1 °C resolution and ±0,5 °C precision. The associated logger features an LED display with alarm, minimum, maximum and timestamp functions and meets EN 12830. Via integrated USB, logged data can be transferred to a PC to produce PDF or Excel reports including a summary, graphs and detailed values. The host instrument is fully programmable for six languages, measuring interval, start delay, alarm delay, units, alarm range, alarm type, password and user. Logger housing protection is IP65; power is from two 3,0 V CR2032 batteries offering about nine months of operation and a two-year warranty. Supplied with a handle as one piece from manufacturer Labbox, this probe has a net weight of 0,100 kg and is suited to temperature monitoring tasks that benefit from a grip for positioning or handling the sensor.
